The full fenders are new. They are flexible. They can be "deformed" and go right back into shape. They will not crack or break. Only two bolts need to be loosened for removal of the fenders. These fenders are available in white, black and red. The lighted mud flap holders, mud flaps and chrome flap weights are new. The frame has been sandblasted and painted.
A quick disconnect air fitting (not visible) has been attached to the back left hand side of the truck just below the sleeper for easy access. This can be used for airing up tires, running air tools, etc.
Rear tires are Michelin 275/80 R 22.5 XDA2 caps with around 150K miles of remaining tread wear.

THE ALCOA POLISHED ALUMINUM WHEELS ARE BRAND NEW.
THE FRONT HUBCAPS ARE ALSO FROM ALCOA. THEY HAVE SPECIAL LOCKING NUT COVERS THAT REQUIRE A SPECIAL TOOL TO REMOVE.

THERE ARE FOUR CUPHOLDERS WITHIN EASY REACH OF THE DRIVER. TWO ARE WITHIN EASY REACH OF THE PASSENGER. THE WIDTH FROM INSIDE DRIVER DOOR TO INSIDE PASSENGER DOOR IS 75 INCHES.

The wheelbase is 182 inches after conversion. The short wheelbase makes this Volvo very maneuverable. Perfect for RV parking. Surprisingly, the ride and handling with this short wheelbase is great. This Volvo rides at least as nice as the 202 inch wheelbase Volvos I have owned. The ride is as smooth as any one ton pickup.

The Volvo is triple air ride. The chassis is air ride, the integral sleeper is air ride with 4 shocks attached for horizontal and lateral stability. The New Bostrom Wide Ride Ultra Leather seats are also air ride. Both seats fully recline, have dual arm rests, and multiple air adjustments for individual comfort.

There are two grab handles on both sides of the cab inside the doors making entry and exit easy and safe. There are dual rubber seals around the doors which eliminate wind noise. There are no squeeks or rattles anywhere in the truck. Very quiet and comfortable.

The engine is a Cummins Signature ISM, 400 HP and 1,450 torque. The engine is covered by a comprehensive Cummins warranty until July of 04. The warranty includes everything internal in the engine except the injectors and water pump. I inspect all systems to the best of my ability on each Volvo I buy. In additon, I have a complete DOT inspection done for each unit. This insures that all systems on each Volvo are in good shape. If a problem is located, repairs are made. This is not required for RV use, just another thing to insure everything on each Volvo works.

The Steer tires are Bridgestone 227s. These are expensive tires. They have at least 100K miles of use remaining. The steer tires were spin balanced when mounted on the Alcoa wheels.

The Volvo has just been fully serviced. Lube, oil and all filters including the air filter were changed. The engine has just been tuned. The overhead has been done ( setting the vlaves, Jake brake and injectors). This baby is ready to roll.

There is underbed storage accessible from outside on both sides of the truck, and by lifting the bed. This area is larger than it appears. Items as long as 88 inches can be carried under the bed.
Triangles, tow hooks, and a fire extinguisher come with the Volvo. The little black device that appears to be a block heater is actually a shore power connection. When an electrical strip is plugged in , all internal appliances can be powered at once.

This Volvo has dual aluminum 150 gallon fuel tanks. This gives the truck a range of at least 3,000 miles if necessary.
I had the frame sandblasted and painted.

This Volvo has a GVWR of 31K. The front axle is 12K . The rear axle is 19K. The GCVWR remains at 80K as the Volvo could still pull double or triple trailers if used commercially. The axle ratio is 3:90. The OD ratio of the autoshift is .74. Both the transmission and differential are covered by manufacturers warranty until July of 04.

The interior is in like new condition. If the color is not your preference, you could install adhesive fabric or carpeting on the sleeper walls in the color of your choice. (There are a few splatters of windex on the passenger seat I didn't notice at the time I took the pictures) PS The seats are black. The sun light changes the color look in the pictrures and makes them appear lighter colored.

The T handle shift lever is a real boon for those not wishing to learn to shift a manual 10 speed transmission. The driver can select any gear for starting off up to and including 5th gear. No coordination is required by the driver. The truck will start off by itself when the driver lets out the clutch. Then the driver accelerates, and the transmission shifts automatically just about like a cars automatic transmission. There is a digital indicator on top of the dash that tells the driver what gear he/she is in at all times. The driver can also "hold" the transmission in any gear he/she chooses for as long as he/she chooses.

There are fresh air vents on both sides of the sleeper. There is also a separate blower motor that provides air or heat to the sleeper separate from the cab controls and blower.

There is plenty of overhead storage above both the driver and passenger seat. There are two multi position sun visors for driver comfort in addition to the external sun visor. Area and reading lights are installed above both seats.

This Volvo has a two speed Jake Brake, Tilt and telescoping steering wheel, cruise control, air conditioning with separate controls for the cab and sleeper, AM FM Stereo Weather Band Radio, Diagnostics and engine information box on the lower left side of the steering wheel, intermitten wipers, heated mirrors, back of cab light, and a brand new Cobra 29 LTD Classic CB radio.

The drawers behind the drivers seat has two cupholders, and a slide out work desk top board for writing etc.

The refrigerator is new. there is also a new microwave oven in the alcove under the front of the bed. Included but not shown is a new black 5 piece carpet set, custom made just for 610 Volvos. The set is easy to install and remove for cleaning. I have two sets on order.
This Volvo is the perfect RV toter and daily driver. The autoshift makes driving fun and worry free. The power to tow up that grade at the speed of your choice cannot be underestimated.
Jake Brakes are just terrific for desending a grade. They
actually render the service and trailer brakes unnecessary.
This ISM will easily go 800K if well maintained before requiring an inframe overhaul. Then it can go another 700-800K miles.
The Volvo pictured above is already sold. It has 408K miles. I own two more Volvos exactly like the one pictured above.
The two remaining have 425 and 430K miles respectively. I picked up the second Volvo over the weekend. It will be completed in the exact same fashion as this one except for the dual air ride seats will not be included unless ordered. The one I am converting now also has white full fenders. It comes with the exact same services performed, same degree of detail. I will have it ready in about two weeks. The price for the second 2000 autoshift conversion is $39,700.
